Gastón Acurio Jaramillo is a Peruvian chef and ambassador of Peruvian cuisine. He is owner of international restaurants and author of several books. In Peru he's the host of his own television program and contributes to several magazines.

La Aventura Culinaria, which is broadcast on cable television by PlusTV. It features Gastón Acurio visiting various places in Lima and other regions of Peru in search of restaurants and specific types of meal or ingredients. Two episodes include La Aventura del Ceviche, in which Gastón visited his top list of Cevicherias, and La Aventura del Queso, when Gastón enjoyed the best cheese based meals in various locations in Lima.

Promperú también explicó que Sofía Mulanovich, a través de sus presentaciones, promovería que las olas peruanas de playas como Punta Rocas (al sur de Lima) o Cabo Blanco (al norte) registran las mejores olas del mundo, por lo cual estarían incluidas como parte del tour mundial de este deporte.

“Existe un gran segmento de turistas que viajan buscando escenarios para deportes de aventura y en el caso del surfing es interesante comunicar que tenemos olas de categoría mundial, ya sea por su forma, tamaño o recorrido. Entre ellas podemos contar las de La Herradura en Chorrillos, Cabo Blanco en Piura, Pico Alto en Punta Negra (la ola más grande de América) y Chicama en Trujillo, considerada como una de las cinco olas mas largas (en recorrido) del mundo”
